- our cookie policy explains how we use cookies.
By using this website, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version date above shows when the terms were last changed. Any change applies from the date it is published. If a change is material, for example, a change to how we handle your personal information we will draw it to your attention before it takes effect.
3. How you may use the site
You may use this website to learn about DMUK and our services, to contact us, and to start an enquiry. You agree not to:
- use the site in a way that is unlawful or that could harm DMUK, our staff, or other users;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its underlying systems;

We may suspend or restrict access to the site at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that use of the site breaches these terms.
4. Information on this site is not advice
The information on this website is general information about debt solutions. It is not personal advice about your circumstances. Different debt solutions suit different people, and what is right for one person may be wrong for another.
If you want advice about your own situation, please contact us so a qualified adviser can speak with you. We will give you advice based on the information you provide.
We try to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that every page is free from error or omission. Where the law or regulatory position changes, the published page may take time to catch up.
5. Enquiry forms
If you complete a contact or enquiry form on the site, we will use the information you give us to respond to your enquiry. This may include calling you, emailing you, or sending you a text. We will only use your information in the ways set out in our privacy policy.
We are not able to give substantive advice through a website form. Once you have made an enquiry, a member of our team will be in touch to talk through your circumstances properly.
6. Live chat
We offer a live chat function on parts of the site. Live chat conversations are handled with the support of automated tools, including artificial intelligence.
What this means for you:
- some replies may be generated automatically;
- a human can take over the conversation if your question needs it;
- chat conversations are recorded and stored so we can improve the service and handle complaints;
- you should not share information in chat that you would not want recorded — for example, full bank details or other sensitive data that we can take more safely over the phone or by secure form.
Live chat is for general questions only. It is not a route for giving formal advice, lodging a complaint, or sending us documents.
7. Intellectual property
The content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and design belongs to DMUK or has been licensed to DMUK. You may view, download, and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reuse content for any commercial purpose without our written permission.

8. Links to other sites
The site may contain links to websites operated by third parties for example, government bodies, regulators, or charities. We provide these links for convenience. We do not control the content of linked sites and we are not responsible for it.
9. Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, we are not responsible for any loss you suffer because the site is temporarily unavailable, contains an inaccuracy, or because you have relied on general information on the site rather than on personal advice from us.
10. Complaints
If you have a complaint about our service or about an insolvency case being handled by DMUK, please contact us first. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and follow our internal complaints procedure.
If you are not satisfied with our response, complaints about an insolvency practitioner are handled through the Insolvency Service Complaints Gateway, which is the central route for the UK. Details are at gov.uk/complain-about-insolvency-practitioner.
Complaints about how we handle personal data can be raised with the Information Commissioner's Office (see Privacy Policy).
